Raksha Bandhan- an Occasion to Celebrate Womanhood
Programme for College Students

During ‘Ek Aur Sudhar’ the college celebrated ‘Raksha Bandhan-an occasion to celebrate womanhood from 23rd August to 25th August 2018 under the guidance of the Principal of the college, Dr. Indraj Singh.
On 23 August 2018 under the programme Aarambh Slogan Writing Competition was organized by Women Cell on the topic ‘Women Safety and Empowerment’. Students participated in the competition with full enthusiasm and in large numbers. They wrote motivational slogans to spread awareness in the society. The result of the competition was as under.
Under Bindass Bol- Group discussions on ‘Gender Violence’, ‘Dignity and Safety of Women’ and ‘Role of Women in National Development’ in the Mentor- Mentee Groups.
24th August 2018- Under Sashakt Narri- Sashakt Haryana- Women Cell of the college had organized Empowerment Rally to create social awareness with the slogans written by the students during slogan writing competition on 23rd August 2018.
Special assembly was organized with the Key speakers –Mrs. Sunita Sharma Inspector (Durga Shakti Rapid Action Force) Hisar and Advocate Abhishek Aggarwal. They delivered lectures and had interactive session with the college students on the topics Gender Sensitization and Women Empowerment students got the opportunity to learn many of their rights and were motivated to bring the desired change in the society.
25th August 2018 was observed as Pledge Day under Sankalp Sutra Bandhan Students of the college took the pledge for violence against girls, sexual harassment. They also pledged to create peaceful and safe environment for females. Students who took the pledge tied a Sankalp Sutra to the trees in the campus.
A signature wall was also created with the same pledge written on it. All the students put their signatures on the wall.
The entire 3 days drive came out to be a productive workout to give society a positive shape and to bring positive change.
