Our college participated in zonal youth festival at Govt. College Nahar from 6-8 November 2014. Students from college participated in 25 activities. The performance of all the students is praiseworthy. Our students bagged the following prizes:

1).One Act Play – IInd Prize

2) Mime – IInd Prize

3) Group Dance (General) III Prize

4) Best Actress Prize - Krishma

The students of one – Act play and Mime participated at Inter Zonal Youth Festival.

An Educational tour of girls was organized by the college. 47 girls were taken to Kurukshetra Unisversity,Chandigarh and pinjore . Students visited different places during this tour. Students were educated regarding the traffic planning and beautification of Chandigarh city.

Boys Tour 09.11.2014 to 12.11.2014:

The boy’s educational trip went to Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Ajmer, Pushkar and Jaipur. The first stay of this tour was in Udaipur and Rajasthan Agriculture University Guest House Kissan Bhawan on 09.11.2014. Boys visited the agricultural Museum of Rajasthan and visited the historical palaces of Udaipur city.

On. 11.11.2014 boys tour stayed at Baba Arjun Daas Ashram Pushkar. Boys visited the Baba’s Samadhi Sthal for meditation and Bhajans. Then the group visited the Dargah of Moinuddin Chishti. After that the tour went to Jaipur where boys visited the Raja Ram Singh Museum, City Palace Market and historical Hawa- Mahal of Jaipur.

There are several activities organized by NSS team during the session. There are 107 volunteers in NSS one day camp on 12-09-2014. Students were made aware on eco-friendly and sustainable growth projects. A lecture on health of girls was also organized. One day camp was organized on 31-10-2014 in which Dr. Anita Rani enlightened the students on several social evils. Students were motivated and the college beautification work got immense help from the volunteers. Third one day camp was organized on 04-11-2014. The programme officer, Dr. Anita Rani stressed on the cleanliness drive initiated by our Hon’ble PM Mr. Narender Modi. The NSS girls unit proposes to organize a seven day camp in the month of January 2015.

NSS (Boys) Unit

1st one day Camp organized in the college campus on 12.09.2014. The camp was inaugurated by the Principal Smt. Indu Jain. In the camp volunteers cleaned the college campus.

2nd one day Camp: organized in the college campus on 30.10.2014. The camp was inaugurated by the Principal Smt. Indu Jain and Dr. Inderjit associate professor of commerce also addressed the volunteers and inspired them to work for society. In the camp volunteers cleaned the college campus.

3rd one day Camp: organized on 04.11.2014 in the play ground of govt. Sr. Sec. School in lieu Safai Abhiyan of govt. of India. In the camp volunteers not only cleaned the play ground of school as well as main road but also motivated the villagers for cleanliness, health and hygiene.

Proposed 7 days camp of boys unit will be organized in the month of January 2015 by the permission of Principal.

Placement Cell:

Placement Cell of the College strives to make the students aware about various vacancies. During the session 2014-2015, a lecture was conducted, in Which Dr. Anand Prakash Yadav enlightened the students on various aspects of our personality, He encouraged the students to participate in co-curricular activities. He presented Mock Interview so that students can learn the act of presentation. One more lecture was conducted in association with Big FM Radio. The team of Big FM Radio interacted with the students and motivated them by showing several videos.

Ms. Manmeet Kaur completed her research work and Ph.D. degree was awarded to her during the session. She has also attended refresher course in commerce at Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra.


Language Lab.

We have fully functional Language Lab in the College. There are twenty five Computers are installed in the Lab. In the lab we have software of Clarity digital Communication Enhancement skills, Clarity English Success, Clarity English on teaching software from U.K. – Focusing on the Tense for grammar and Soft Skills and Personality Development Program. We also have IELTs books (volume 1-8) in the college language lab.

Annual report of Physics/Chemistry department:

During the session the science subjects are introduced in the college. The lab facilities are established for B.Sc.-I as well as partially for B.Sc.-II year students. Science Model was preparied the students to enhance the practical knowledge. Two students got prize in science essay writing competition at district level at Govt. College, Rewari and were selected for state level competition. B.Sc. –I year students participated in inter college Quiz competition held at Govt. College Sidhrawali.

Activities of Geography department:

1. Geography lab in working from session 2013-14 with all necessary equipments and accessories.

2. The total no. of students in the geography department is 140 (including B.A.- I sem & B.A. –III sem.)

3. Different activities held in the class during session are group discussion, assignment submission, seminars and presentations.

Earn while you Learn:
