NCC Activities from Feb 2019 to Oct, 2019

18 Feb,2019         Basant Mahotsav celebrated in college . NCC cadets participated in various activities and following Cadets have attained the position in different activities.

  1. Muskan of B. A first year got Ist position in Rangoli.
  2. Deepika of B.Sc  got 2nd  Position in Speech competition, 3rd  in debate, 3rd  in quiz

3 Feb,2019

Legal literacy competition was held in college.

Deepika (HR/18/SW/261068) got 2nd  Position in quiz competition.

24 Feb,2019

Khabadi game were held at Fatehabad from 24/2/19 to 27/2/19. Vinit of 2nd  Year (HR/18/SW/261067) participated and team got the third position.

3 March,2019

In khabadi Competition at syvaraj Majra Vinita(HR/18/SW/261067) got Ist position as best Defender.

8 March,2019

On the occasion of women day NCC cadets participated in various activities like Slogan Writing, Paiting, Poster Making

Deepika, Preeti Kumari, Neelam first year cadets got 1st  ,2nd  , 3rd position respectively in slogan writing.
Neelam also got 1st position in painting

23 cadets joined ATC camp at Ghoshgarh, Gurugram Organsied by 5 HR Batalian. Our cadets got following position in camp

  1. Priti cadet of final year got third position in firing completion
  2. Chanchal Sharma of Final year got 2nd position in Best Cadet performance in camp.
  3. 6 cadets selected and participated in guard of honor.

    CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

    Sh. S. K. Yadav Associate Prof. is the Co-ordinator of Cultural Activities during the session 2019-20. The achievements in cultural activities are as follows:

  • Our students participated in the Youth Festival of the Indira Gandhi University, Meerpur(Rewari)  won total Seven Prizes.     
  • Won 1st Prize in “Best Out Of Waste”, Debate (Hindi) and Quiz Competition.
  • Won 2nd Prize in Haryanvi Poem, Sanskrit Declamation, Poster Making and Clay Modeling.

CULTURAL ACTIVITIES

Associate Prof. S. K. Yadav is the Co-ordinator of Cultural Activities during the session 2018-19. The achievements in cultural activities are as follows:

  • Our college students participated in Zonal Youth Festival held at S.K. Govt. College, Kanwali and bagged Six Prizes at zonal.
  • Our college students participated in Inter- Zonal Youth Festival held at M.D.U. Campus Rohtak in which our students participated in all those six events (Winner at Zonal Level)
  • Our students participated in the Youth Festival of the Indira Gandhi University, Meerpur(Rewari)  won Five Prizes.     
  • Basant Utsav 2019 was also organized in our college on 18th February, 2019 in which more than 500 girls participated in the competition held in 37 events. Cash prizes and certificates were given away to the winners in Basant Utsav.

SPORTS

It is a matter of great pride and joy that our students have bagged medals at various International, National and State Level Sports events under the able guidance of Dr. Naresh Kumar, Assistant Professor of Physical Education.

Since this college is affiliated to both MDU Rohtak and IGU Meerpur, our teams  participate in the the sports events of both Universities. The college Handball Team won 2nd position in IGU Inter-College Tournament held in GCW Gurawara. Babita of B.A 2nd and Sarita of B.Com 2nd won gold medals and have been selected for IGU Taekwondo Team. College team won two gold medals in the Inter-College Wushu Tournament held at RDS Public Girls College. Savita of B.A 3rd student participated in 10 metre Pistol shooting inter-college of MDU Rohtak and won bronze medal. She was also selected in MDU Rohtak Team. She represented MDU Rohtak in all India inter-university championship held at Chandigarh and won bronze medal.

                        College annual Athletic meet held on 16th & 17th Nov. 2018, in which students participated in Athletic events. Sheetal of B.A-II student was selected as Best Athlete.

                        College kabaddi  team visited M.M College Fatehabad participate in state level inter-college kabaddi tournament and reached up to quarter-final.

The students of this college have also participated in various state and national tournament where they did their best and brought laurel to the college as well as their parents.

N.S.S.

            Ms. Naveen Gahlawat and Dr. Anita Rani, Assistant Professors are working as Programme Officers. The main activities organized by the NSS unit during the session 2018-19 are as follows:

  1. Swachch Bharat Internship Scheme (SBIS) was organized in the college under NSS from 01 May-31 July 2018, in which about 40 NSS volunteers participated in this scheme in village Dhaliawas.
  2. One day NSS camp was held on 15-11-2018 in the college campus in which about 60 NSS volunteers actively cleaned the campus.
  3. One day NSS camp was held on 31-01-2019    in the college campus in which about 50 NSS volunteers took part.
  4. 7 day camp was held at GMS Dhaliawas from 27-02-2019 to 05-03-2019 in which Dhaliawas village was adopted. Various activities like Rally, Health checkup, Yoga camp etc were held.
  5. Blood Denotation camp was held jointly under NSS & Red Cross Club of the college on 08-10-2018 and 50 units of blood was donated by the students and staff.
  6. Jaya of B.sc 3rd was adjudged best volunteer in Distt. Rewari & was honored by Hon’ble Chief Minister of Haryana in M.D. University Rohtak  on 27-12-2018.
  7. Neha of B.A 1st was selected to attend State level NSS camp at G.J. University Hissar from 22-03-2019 to 28-03-2019.
  8. Ankita of B.A 2nd was selected to attend NSS camp at Jamia Milia Issamia.    

Red-Cross and Red Ribbon Club

Mrs. Dhiraj Yadav, Assistant Prof. of Mathematics is working as the incharge of Red Cross and Red Ribbon Club activities. The main activities organized by the Red Cross unit during the session 2018-19 are as follows:

  • Swachhta Pakhwada from 01 to 15 August, 2018 was organised in College Campus.
  • Participated in video conference on Swachhta at NIC Rewari (10/08/2018)
  • V.C. at NIC on Poshan dated 04/09/2018 was attended.
  • International Youth Day fortnight campaign from 01 to 15 August, 2018 was organised. Various competitions : Poster making on HIV/AIDS, Rally on AIDS, Oath taking on this occasion was performed.
  • Lecture cum workshop on Ayurveda was organized. Dr. Ajit Singh (D.A.O.), Dr. Preeti & Team delivered lecture, Geloy and Aelovera juice was served among students & staff on 12/09/2018.
  • Surgical strike celebration on 28-29 September, 2018. Poem competition, Debate & G.D.,  Prof. Anirudh was The Chief Guest during this function.
  • Swachhta fortnight (16/09/2018 to 02/10/2018 in College campus was organized.
  • Voluntary Blood Donation Day was organised on 01/10/2018. Slogan/Poster making competition were organized.
  • Blood Donation Camp was organized in College Campus on 08/10/2018 under collaboration with Distt. Red Cross Society, Rewari. 50 units blood was collected.
  • International Balika Divas was celebrated with plantation on 11 October, 2018.
  • Plantation on International Literary Day (08 September, 2018).
  • Distt. Level First Aid Training in College from 25th October, 2018 to 31st October, 2018. A.D.C.(Mr. Pardeep Dahiya) was Chief Guest. Our college volunteers got Ist prize in dance and best volunteers (Ankita) among 21 colleges.
  • Remembered Sardar Patel Ji, various Programmes like Run for Unity, pledge by A.D.C. Pardeep Dayia alongwith Girls was performed.
  • Our Volunteers(25) participated in Jayanti of Rani Lakshmi Bai in Hindu High School, Rewari. Our Volunteers were honoured on 19/11/2018.
  • Komi Ekta Week from 19 to 25 November, 2018 was organized in College Campus.
  • Two Volunteers alongwith YRC Counselors participated in Orientation Course for Y.R.C. in M.D.U. on 21 November, 2018.
  • Constitution Day was celebrated with Poster Making on 25/11/2018.
  • HIV/AIDS Day on December 01, 2018. Human Chain was made in HIV/AIDS week from 1st to 7th December, 2018. Poster making, Rally on HIV/AIDS etc. were organized.
  • International Disability Day on December 03, 2018, plantation on this day was performed.
  • Human Rights, No Tobacco Day. Pledge by volunteers not to take tobacco was taken, and created awareness among people not to take this.
  • Remembered Mathematician Sri Niwas Ramanujan by Paying Homage on National Mathematics Day (22/12/2018).
  • On January 12, 2019, National Youth Day was celebrated in college campus. Various competitions i.e. speech, poster making, on the spot painting were organized by paying homage to Swami Vivekanand by college Principal Sh. H.S. Yadav Ji.
  • Road Safety week from 4th Feb. to 10th Feb. 2019 in collaboration with Indian Red Cross Society, Rewari. Red Cross Secretary Mahesh Sharma with his team threw light on Safety measure and voting rights. Dr. Poonam Yadav (Retd. Principal) was Chief Guest. Various Competitions (Slogan, Painting, Rangoli, Speech) on Road Safety, Beti Bachao, Women Empowerment were organized in college campus Dr. Anita, Mrs. Seema, Mrs. Dhiraj were judges in competitions.
  • First Aid training was organized from 27/02/19 to 5/3/2019 in college in campus . First aid trainer,(Mr.Sanjay) from District Red Cross society provided his services.

Legal Literacy Club

Smt. Suman Yadav, Associate Prof. in Hindi is the coordinator of the Legal Literacy Club. The club has organized the following activities during this session 2018-19:

  • Lecture delivered by Sh. Surender Singh and Sh. Jagat Singh Advocate on the topic Rights of the Women in Parental Property.
  • Balika Divas has been celebrated in the college on 24 Sept. 2018, Mrs. Kirti Jain, CJM cum Secretary, DLSA, Rewari was Chief Guest on this occasion. She delivered her lecture on the topic Rights of Women, Sexual Harassment and Domestic Violence Act 2005.
  • Sh. Harish Sharma and Sh. Yeshpal Sharma also deliverd a lecture on Female Feticide and Beti Bachao Beti Padhao.
  • On 16/02/2019 College Level Legal Literacy Club Competition has been organized and on this occasion our worthy Principal Sh. H.S. Yadav was Chief Guest. Declamation, Debate, Poetic Recitation, Skit Haryanvi, PPT, Documentary Film, Quiz, Slogan Writing and On the Spot Painting events were organized.
  • On 23/02/2019, a Distt. Level Legal Literacy Club Competition was organized and Mrs. Kirti Jain, CJM cum Secretary, DLSA, Rewari was Chief Guest. She delivered a lecture on Acid Attack and told DLSA is always ready to help for victims and needy persons.
  • On the occasion of International Women’s Day a Free Health Camp was organized by Virat Hospital, Rewari in our College.
  • On 14/03/2019, Zonal Level Legal Literacy Club Competition at Govt. Girls College, Gurugram was organized and our College students stood Second in 04 events and Third in 01 event.

Road Safety Club

  • On 12th July, Ms. Suman Lata, Associate Prof. of Hindi and Mrs. Pooja Khullar, Principal along with 8 students attend the Durga Shakti Launched by Hon’ble C.M. Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar Ji at Panchkula.
  • District Level Durga Shakti App launched by S.P. Rewari in the College.
  • Road Safety exam conducted on 8th November, 2018.
  • Road Safety Competitions were arranged and Dr. Poonam Yadav, Retd. Principal was Chief Guest on this occasion.

Women Studies and Development Cell

            Dr. (Mrs.) Rajesh Kumari is the Co-ordinator of Women Studies and Development cell. The following activities were organized by the cell during this session 2018-19:

  • Celebration of Teej Utsav- Various competition like Folk song, Poetry making and Mehandi  were organized by women cell on 11.08.2018

  • 25-08.18 to 29.10.2018—Self-defense training was imparted to 800 girls students by Sh. Deep Chand in College campus.    
  •  V.C. at NIC  on “Poshan” dated 04.09.18  was attended
  • A Lecture on Legal Rights of Women by ADJ, Rewari Dr. Kirti Jain delivered on    .Advocate Harish threw light on acts/ rules for women empowerment.

  •   14 –17 November 2018-- Workshop on Beautification was organized. Lecture and Practical training was imparted on Skin treatment, Facial, Bridal makeup and Hair Style/ treatment.
  •  Lecture delivered on Beti Bachao Beti Padhao by Dr. Poonam Yadav (Retd. Principal) and various competitions: Slogan, Painting, Rangoli and Declamation on Beti Bachao & Women empowerment on 05 Feb. 2019.    Dr. Anita, Mrs. Seema, Dr. Dheeraj acted as the judges.
  •  Educational Tour was organized to Suraj Kund Mela, Faridabad for multicultural exposure. 55 girl students visited Mela.
  •  International Women’s Day was celebrated in college on 8 March 2019. Health checkup camp was organized. Dr. Virat and his team provided their services for the benefit of girls students.
  •   Poshan Pakhwada from 08-22 March 2019:-- Lectures and various competition:
    • 08.03.19--: Gynecologist Dr. Parveen delivered lecture on “Role of Diet”

for a healthy life.

  • 09.03.19--: Physician Dr. Sanjay imparted knowledge on immunization,

Sanitization and role of stress on immune system.

  • 11.03.19--: Poster making competition on Poshan.
  • 12.03.19--: Slogan competition
  • 13.03.19--: Essay writing competition on Poshan
  • 15.03.19--: Declamation on Poshan
  • 16.03.19--: Rally on Poshan was carried out in village Dhaliwas.

Scholarship

Sh. Narender Singh, Assistant Professor of Commerce is working as the Nodal Officer for distribution of scholarship to SC students. Scholarships worth Rs. 77 lac 52 thousand were distributed among 646 SC students. An amount of Rs. 12 Lac 92 thousand was distributed to purchase books for the SC students.

Placement Cell

  • Sh. Narender Singh, Assistant Professor of Commerce is working as the Nodal Officer for the Placement Cell.
  • One Week Employability Skill Training Programme sponsored by DHE, Haryana was organized for the students of Final year of this college, as well as, all other Govt. Colleges of Rewari District.
  • We took 47 students for the one day Job Fair held at Govt. Girls College, Sec-14, Gurugram on 07/02/2019, where 10 students got Job offer from various companies.
  • We organised One day Industrial Visit to Madhu Chawla Design Trend, Gurugram on 11/03/2019. 107 students participated in this visit.

Mentorship

Associate Prof. Mrs. Suman Lata is the Chief Mentor. Mentorship Programme is a new initiative launched by the Additional Chief Secretary Smt. Jyoti Arora.

  • The college has been divided in 2 groups in 63 sections. The List of mentor meetings is as under:
  • On 23/08/2018 group discussion topic was Bindas Bol, on the topic Gender Violence, Dignity and Safety of Women and role of women in Nation Building.
  • On 13/09/2018, the students were guided how to prepare C.V. and ask them to be part of National Abhiyan – Swachhta Mission.
  • On 25/01/2019, the students are motivated to cast vote in the elections and they were also requested to motivate others and community to cast the vote and its importance.

Tour

  •  Mrs. Suman Lata, Associate Prof. of Hindi accompany the students on One day trip to Suraj Kund Craft Mela at Surajkund, Faridabad.

Library

In the absence of a regular  Librarian, Dr. V.P. Sharma Associate Professor of English is working as the incharge of the library. Nearly ten thousand books are present in the library.
