“When girls are educated, their countries become stronger and more prosperous” Michelle Obama
I welcome you all to this institution of higher learning. While academic excellence is our major thrust, the college also prepares the girls for life, groom them to face the challenges of tomorrow and encourage them to be lifelong learners, critical thinkers and productive members of the global society.
As we step into the new academic year, filled with hope and dreams of scaling new heights, I wish to reiterate the importance of a few things that you have to keep in mind. The overall development of the mind and body is a sign of healthy and complete development. You should keep in mind the importance of planning and prioritizing your time and the effective use of it which are essential to achieve success. You should always think and review – discover the cause and effect of every event, in which you are involved. Do not surrender or become a slave to youthful fancies and indulgences. Be steady in your studies. Learn to enjoy hard work – particularly your studies. Think wisely, think systematically. Always prepare yourself for next day’s lesson. Be very serious and attentive in class. Hard work, dedication, and perseverance are the most important traits that will lead you to success. Your motto in life should be “I can and I will”. The future belongs to you; your need, therefore, is to prepare yourself for active participation in the world. This participation demands that you become well informed and hence develop yourself like a pioneer and ultimately grow as a responsible woman. Preserve heritage and environment for yourself as well as for the next generation. Always be a soldier to defend and preserve traditions and territory.
We feel proud to provide quality education by equipping our girls with skills, confidence and a positive approach with an all-round development. The experienced and dedicated faculty of the college helps the girls to realize their goals in life. I encourage all students to take advantage of the opportunities provided by the college and involve themselves in curricular, co-curricular and extracurricular activities that are offered for an all inclusive development. Remember “There is no greater pillar of stability than a strong, free and educated woman” Angelina Jolie.
My good wishes to all.
